    Friday Fab 5s: Friday 18 August 2023

Friday again! August is flying in!
So I get to ask the important question...........

What 5 things (or more, or less) have been positive or put a smile on your face this week?
They don't have to be huge like scoring the winning goal in the World Cup, it could be as simple as enjoying a hot shower.

Remember no negativity or it will be removed.

    Mine to start us off
    - back in the swimming pool after weeks off
    - Having Chinese food with friends
    - getting my nails done
    - out walking in the sun
    - meeting up with a church group for a BBQ.

    Your turn.

~ As you mentioned the World Cup, England are in the Final on Sunday against Spain and I’m so excited. Could football be coming home?
~ Giving blood last week. My 20th donation and my blood goes to help newborns. A half hour out of my day, free tea and biscuits and I get to potentially save a life.
~ The pain from my injuries is starting to subside. Gonna take a while to fully recover, especially my shoulder but I’m getting there.
~ Being there for friends in need. It may not be the easiest thing to do but if I can make things even a little bit easier for them it’s totally worth the effort.
~ Free Sherlock Holmes audiobooks on Amazon Music. Always good to listen to at bed time.

    - lovely, relaxing holiday with my gorgeous hubby
    - afternoon tea at Burgh Island Hotel for our wedding anniversary (fulfilled a lifelong dream)
    - sitting on the beach
    - cuddles with Demi (a rare thing)
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
