I had a moment today, we were playing a game after dinner, and i just looked round the table and felt overwhelmingly grateful to be with those i love most in the world
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

Shes got flu (though is prob past infectious stage) but she has been really ill and it overwhelmed her asthma so was in a&e last week. She can barely move and looked grey. Coughing her guts up, strained back and abdomen muscles. She said its worse than when she had covid

I remember reading that now. That sounds exactly like I've been this week, it's absolutely awful! Hope she's over the worst and recovers quickly.

Mum’s been to the doctors and is on her second course of antibiotics…. He said that ‘it’s a virus but needs extra help’. I’m no expert but surely antivirals would be better for flu?
