    Is it worth postponing EDMR?

Another EMDR session when I actually didnt do any EMDR.
We talked about some stuff and she did ask if I thought this was the right time for EMDR to which I assured her it was as I don't want to lose my slot.
We are having another session next week and will try some EMDR and see how we go.
I need to get my act together so we actually manage to do it.
Anyway I had a good swim after to clear my head and have done some crochet so I'm nice and chill for BB tonight.

Sweetie, I know you don’t want to lose your slot, and completely understand that, but are you getting out of this process what you need to atm?

Are you going to be kind to you for the next day or so?

I agree with Paula. If you aren’t in the right place to take part in the program you aren’t going to get all you need out of it. I notice you stated earlier that you see this as your last option to get well and putting that kinda pressure on yourself isn’t going to help. I’m a strong believer that therapy is all about timing. You need to be in the right place to fully engage with any form of therapy and I’m wondering if this is the right time and place for you?

Ok so this is how I see it.
The thing that destabilises me is my PTSD symptoms. Yes they are bad at the moment
EMDR does not destabilise me further
EMDR is the way to process trauma
Therefore EMDR should help to decrease my symptoms and help me stabilise again.
Is it easy? No but it's what I need to do to heal
