The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
Thatīs difficult: I donīt want to burden my daughter, she was enough aware of my problems when she still lived at home. My husband and I have unfortunately drifted apart after 20 years of our relationship and we barely have serious conversations. Unhappily my best friend lives 50 km away from me, but we mail almost every day und talk about how we feel.Originally Posted by Suzi
