You work yourself up by assuming anyone you meet, whether at work, socially etc, or anything you do/get invited to, is going to turn out bad. And then you enjoy yourself. Socials like these are the sort of places you should be meeting people who could be friends/boyfriends and it would be wonderful if you could relax, have fun, and stop worrying

Yes, it's not easy for me. Because I've had depression. But today I haven't felt suicidal, that is why I decided to attend the event.
