Went the coffee morning at the local park bah humbug the kids were off school and there was some Halloween event on later on, skeletons and pumpkins everywhere and signs advertising "Scream on the Green" boy was it noisy couldn't hear myself think. Half price coffee and cakes (one advantage of being over 70) compensated for all the racket

Coffee morning at the local park? Wasn’t that a bit nippy?
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

It wasn't too bad we didn't sit outside we sat inside the pavilion where you can buy drinks and snacks, there was a guy with zombie make up there either that or he'd come back from the dead

Sounds like a chilled day. I’ve emptied my old car out ready to send it for scrap. Tax is up at the end of this month so needs to be gone asap.

Just a quick update yesterday (Wednesday) spent most of the day playing Chrono Trigger (video game).

Tuesday lunch at church mushroom soup, winner, winner chicken dinner, scone with blackcurrant jam and cream squirty cream not clotted cream I know should be clotted cream but can't complain as it is only a fiver for all that, no domino wins though must be on a losing streak but times they will be a changing (I'm sure there's a song in there somewhere).

As for today depends on the weather fine with no wind at the moment but according to weather reports it could become very wet and windy.
