What’s the hobby?
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
It sounds daft but I struggle with this because I have had to reduce my expectations about what is and isn’t achievable and the victories seem too small to celebrate, but I was very proud of myself for my short train journey on Sunday. It may only have been two stops but 1. I was on my own, 2. It was a route I wasn’t familiar with, 3. I didn’t know the layout of the station at the other end, 4. I was meeting someone I didn’t know and never seen before.
My anxiety was through the roof and it would’ve been easy to turn around and go home but I didn’t so something to be proud of even if it seems like a small thing to most people.

Ooo this is a good one. Today I’m thanking myself that every day I get dressed (eventually), regardless of how I feel
