    Mental Health Awareness Week

    It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, with the focus on anxiety. There are many effective methods of self help in dealing with anxiety, but these are easy to remember and simple to do. I hope they are of some help.


    The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

    I’m I the only person who struggles with the 54321 grounding technique? The progressive muscle relaxation is something I try to do, especially before bed. Distraction techniques are big on my crisis plan. I know there is an issue with folks using their phones too much and being a bit ignorant but losing myself in a mobile game or a podcast is an escape for me.
