    Out of my comfort zone

It’s the last year of my 40’s (I know, you’d never have guessed it! ) so I think it’d be good to do a few things out of my comfort zone. One’s already sorted (thanks Jaq!), but has anyone got any other ideas?

Do you mean going to different places? What about something like going on a train by yourself? Cook a meal for your family? Learn a language? Go swimming?
Do a little of something that makes you happy every day!

I’ve been learning Spanish for over a year. I did start learning Polish (as my cleaner is Polish) but my tiny brain can’t cope with 2 at once lol. My family won’t let me cook - they value their lives too much, I really am that bad. But yes, to getting out and about more, maybe on my own as I can’t remember the last time I left my town on my own. Swimming might be an option…

Marc was challenged by his therapist to "go out and expose himself" in towns near here. It was a huge challenge as at that point leaving the house at all - even to go to his sessions felt almost impossible... Little by little he did it. You will too. I know you will. Maybe aim for 1ce a fortnight/week and see how you go. Start small and local. Remember each inch away from the front door is a huge success!

My mum had the paramedics out to her last night, she was coughing so badly she struggled to breathe. But they’ve said the infection is gone, though her upper respiratory tract is very inflamed and she’s done some damage to her back by coughing. They’re passing details on to her GP for X-ray and blood tests. Oh, and the ECG showed a mild abnormality which an anaesthetist picked up years ago but her GP at the time said wasn’t there.

There is a lot of viruses and things doing the rounds. Our systems have had a break from them for the last 3 years and because there was more visiting done over the Christmas these viruses had a chance to be spread around.

Unfortunately, these things always hit mum worse - she has asthma but she also had double pneumonia years ago and it’s left scarring on her lungs. If she gets a cough, she really gets it.. they’ve done all sort of tests but there’s not a lot that can be done
