I’d love to do calligraphy and have tried but as my handwriting is (and I quote Katie from a few days ago) ‘spidery’, it was always going to be a stretch for me . I’m in awe of anyone who is capable of doing that particular craft!
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

I am ok, but I think today the depression is hitting hard. I can not be bothered to get out of my seat. I have a headache and I am hungry but not doing anything about it.

Plus lots of bad thoughts as well.

I'm sorry today is tough. Have you had anything to eat or drink today? It's just that could be giving you a sore head. Dehydration and hunger is another way of hurting yourself. Can you try and not hurt yourself in this way?

Thanks SM, I think the headache might be because of the coffee. I only started drinking recently and had way to much today to suppress the hunger. I will go downstairs and get a bite to eat. Its weird that its so much easier when someone else says it. Someone I respect.

Why are you drinking coffee to stop you being hungry? Is this another form of punishing yourself?
This is all self harming behaviour. There has to be a safer coping strategy you can work towards with your therapy team. Are you honestly being open and honest with them about exactly how you are harming yourself and the lengths you are going to in order to punish yourself ?
