Cleverly, Si had watched a YouTube video which advised him to screw in right next to the nails the builders had hammered in as a precaution. Turns out, the builders had nailed into the pipe too, it just hadn’t gone all the way through. So he hadn’t done anything wrong - didn’t stop him beating himself up.Always best to check for cables and pipes when screwing down floorboards
