Stella, register with the supermarket With your health conditions, you’ll have priority access to delivery slots.
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

But that still means the more vulnerable people are being forced out of the house when surely they should get priory or delivery services to avoid exposure. I’m having to stick to smaller local shops which means paying more and having less range.

I know these measures are put in place for a reason but it doesn’t favour the vulnerable members of society. Do you think old Gladys at No.54 can afford to stockpile essentials on her state pension? Or Dennis who lost his sight to diabetes can just potter to the shops every day hoping he’ll catch a toilet roll delivery? Nobody cares and this is why humanity is the real disease that is killing people.

Exactly why the priority deliveries are being put in place. Sainsbury’s are only giving slots to those registered with them as vulnerable.

I’m getting this message from the Sainsbury’s app - until the computer updates with my info tomorrow

Actually I've been blown away by the kindness of people. We have a fb group for our road and we're all checking on each other etc. We have a local fruit and veg shop who is doing up fruit and veg boxes and delivering them and homemade soup to those who need it for free. Yesterday I posted asking if anyone knew a supermarket which had Quorn Vegan pieces in - the staple of Hazel's diet and creative cookery and lentils. I had offers from 3 different people with them and nuggets, a vegan cafe offering lentils and veggie sausages, offers from people to share the lentils they have with me. None of these people would take any money for any of the items either. It was amazing.

My brother in law is giving up a couple of hours each morning to take any NHS workers or vulnerable people shopping. He's also running around getting shopping for my parents.

I can't work out whether I class as vulnerable or not anymore! The lists keep changing!! I'm not according to that link.... Yet others have said I am!
