Sunshine on a rainy day *Ab triggers*

Starting a new thread. I forget to mention that my polar bear will have a cotton pad tummy too.

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

Just popping in to say hello. I've been busy cutting and cleaning and doing laundry. I spent about 2 hours yesterday making phone calls and chatting with friends and family. I changed beds and did a bit of a tidy around. I cleaned the sitting room window and got rid of some mould on my kitchen window frame. After that I sat down and watched Holby city.

I also did adulting yesterday. I registered for breast check. (A necessity it seems now that I'm over 50). Getting older sucks.

Mike, I'm of the old school of thought that the man goes out to work and the woman stays home to look after the children and the house. I know, I know a lot of people don't agree with me, but Gerry gets up at about 4.45 and leaves the house before 5.30. He gets home at about 2.30 and I don't feel right asking him for help in the house in the afternoon.
