    zoning out

Does anybody who has depression have the habit of zoning out/ staring into space.
Not being able to concentrate on things, or feel there is a point to doing tasks.
Just feeling lethargic all the time and wanting to sleep or just stare into space.
Everything feels like a huge effort and a pointless one at that.
I'm ing sick and tired of this . Everything seems like a big waste of time.

Yes! It's pretty common. The right help can improve it though lovely

Have you seen your medical team recently and told them that you are dealing with this?

Yes, I’ve been in hospital for several weeks recently and had to deal with this multiple times while i was there. There are ways of coping with this, so I’d recommend talking to your doctors
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

I went to see the doctor last week as I believe I may have bipolar. I have been diagnosed with depression and taken meds for number of years now but there is evidence to suggest that I've had manic episodes. She has put me forward for an appointment with a psychiatrist. Haven't heard anything as of yet but should do within two weeks.
Really don't know what will come of it. Whether I will be diagnosed with bipolar or not. I hope I am in all honesty (strange as that sounds) Anti depressants do very little at all to help me. If I am diagnosed with bipolar I'm sure i'll have different meds to take and different treatments.

I'm glad you went to talk to them. It's great you'll be seen in such a short space of time! An appointment within two weeks is almost miraculous! That's brilliant!!
