    Just what I need!!

Why canít I have 24 hours without any drama?!
This morning Iím sitting sorting through some Lego, Iíve found it a great distraction, then HTT phone to say that theyíll be here in 10 mins!! 10mins!!! Iím still in my pjs, not showered(do not comment SM!)any hair not even brushed. So anxiety goes up as I rush around like an idiot with Ted following me everywhere. I decide to brush my hair, clean my teeth and stay in my pjs. They arrive and Iíve never met them before aaarrrggghhh!!! They are here for 5 mins and my mobile rings....itís school. Youngest has fallen in PE and hurt her foot/ankle. Can I go and pick her up as itís swollen and they think she need an X-ray. Aaarrrggghhh!! I say Iíll be there ASAP send HTT packing(not really they will phone me later) quick wash, dressed and out. Get to the hospital and theyíve closed the usual entrance to A&E and a road to get to the main hospital entrance. Aaarrrggghhh!! Finally get her in, nurse sees her within 10 mins then wait an hour for the doctor then for X-ray and another wait then finally back to see the doctor. They donít think thereís a break they think itís just a very bad sprain then said something about growth plates and they are going to get orthopaedics to check it just in case. So we are sent home, unable to put any weight on it and in a lot of pain. Sheís supposed to be performing in her theatre group production tomorrow night, now thatís out the window and sheís gutted. Now back home with my anxiety through the roof.

I have just made a cuppa and I’m going to try and sit down relax but I’m restless, so think I’ll have a promethezine to help take the edge off.
Youngest is on the sofa, looking utterly miserable with her foot elevated, ice on it and watching some rubbish on the TV.

You're definitely super woman today scurrying around sorting out you're youngest, hopefully it is only a sprain.

    You are AMAZING!

Just ftr, my middle one wearing DM boots was sat on the floor of the sports hall (she's not allowed to do PE for various medical reasons so shouldn't even have been in there) stood up with the top of her foot under her and tried to walk.... Because they didn't believe her how much it hurt she had to walk on it about right to the other side of the campus - being told for being outside the red line where they weren't allowed to be during lessons - for me to have to go and get her. Walk in centre looked and weren't sure, but given her history (it's a long one) they put her in a boot - turns out she'd broken one of the bones......

Give her a hug from me, and award yourself a chufty badge!

No crutches Paula, they only give them out for confirmed fractures!! They are going to phone tomorrow to let us know one way or the other. Thanks Paula, not feeling too amazing right now but I’m not good at seeing the positives at the minute.

Thanks, my freshly showered friend! It was one massive anxiety fest, I’ve snapped the elastic band on my wrist from twanging it so much I then started scratching and opened up a healing cut and now I feel exhausted but also would really like a large G&T!

Thanks Mike, fingers crossed for a sprain. I’ve never been called Super Woman and Wonder Woman but to be fair they are sexy and wear skimpy figure hugging suits, me on the other hand wear pjs, fluffy socks and look like I’ve just got out of bed no matter what time of day it is!! Is there a superhero called Pyjama Woman?
