    New today

Hi, I live in the UK and my name is Sue. I have always been anxious but since Ive been living on my own it seems to have morphed into depression. I am retired now and try and keep busy but the evenings and weekends are the worse time for the mind to start doing its own thing. Would like to talk to people who are the same . I love watching sport on the tv and knitting at the same time !

Hi Sue! Have you talked to your doctor? Are you on any medication?

We’ve got a few knitters here, I’m a cross stitched myself. We’ve got a section for our crafts, perhaps you could post some pics of your creations sometime?
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

    Hi and welcome!
I'm a crocheter, but can't knit for toffee! However Magie, Sissy, Flo and Jaq are all brilliant! Can't wait to get to know you better!

Knitting toffee that's a sticky business , being sensible now Sissy, Flo, Magie & Jaq are all good knitters and Paula does cross stitch, me I sew on the occasional button.

I think it would look better than the knotty mess that I manage to produce!

Welcome Sue......I'm a knitter! Actually I find it very therapeutic when I'm anxious. It's something to take my mind off it with. Currently knitting a jumper for my daughter. I'm retired too. Live in Somerset with my husband. I do a bit of volunteering which keeps me busy. Would volunteering be something you'd be interested in? It can be quite rewarding. Look forward to knowing you better.
