    Digital addiction

There was a local news item about a 14 year old boy who was using his phone and walked out in front of incoming traffic. He simply forgot where he was.
Please be careful when you are on your phone. It is quite easy to forget your souroundings and end up in hospital.

The number of people walking along texting/talking on mobiles is unbelievable, roads can be dangerous enough without such distractions.
71 and counting, less of the "Old" call me "Mike"

Apparently the local A&E are saying they get at least 5 phone related accidents a week.
I think it is an addiction I know I can't go a whole day without using my phone for something.
Is using your devices becoming a problem for you?
How many hours are you on the internet?
How many times a day do you text or phone someone?

I can't walk and text, I don't know how people text and drive! Should be a much harsher sentence imho...

I still see people text when they are driving. My pet hate is when people sit at traffic lights reading their text and they don't see the lights change.

I can't walk and talk on my phone. If I'm driving on my own my phone is switched off. I value my own and other people's lives too highly to even consider using my phone behind the wheel of my car. A car is the most dangerous weapon out there. Just because we see so many every day, it doesn't make them any more safe.
Modern technology has it's place, and I'm very grateful for it's place in modern medicine etc, but people need to know that it's a dangerous weapon too.
