Aisling could do with getting her hair cut too, but I'm not sure I'm able for it at the moment. Maybe if I make an appointment for her I could build myself up for it. We're not back to school until next Monday. A good break but the weather is so bad we can't really get out. Maybe later.

Yes, I've been talking to Gerry. I'm really okay, just a bit tired after all the celebrations. I've made an appointment for Aisling to have her hair cut on Friday. It's at 12.30 and her hair will be nice for when we go to the pantomime when we go on Friday night. We're going ice skating tomorrow, and will have a treat in Subway on the way home. We're picking up Sarah (Aisling's friend) at about 9 in the morning.

I'm not surprised you're exhausted..you've been 'on tour' for ages! Pamper yourself! You certainly make sure Aisling has lots of fun and stimulation. She's a lucky kid to have a mum like you. You go the extra mile for everyone.

The ice skating is in doubt for tomorrow. The road where they have their marquee is on Salthill prom and that has been closed tonight because of storm Eleanor. There is a high tide due tonight and again in the morning so I don't know if the road will have re-opened for the morning. I've asked Sarah's mum if it's okay to go to the cinema instead if the ice skating is closed. I'm just waiting for her to get back to me. I've promised Aisling that we can go to Subway afterwards and I hate to disappoint if I don't have to.

The wind has got up here in the past 2 hours. And we've had almost thundery rain all afternoon.

Hope that the storm doesn't interfere with your plans, but please, please, please be extra careful? You're far too important to take unnecessary risks..

There are a lot of photos and videos on Facebook of the floods in Galway. The road where I used to live has flooded tonight, it never flooded while I lived there, ever!!!!
The main shopping street is also flooded. The area around the docks and all around Salthill is all flooded. I'm not sure what will happen when the high tide passes, maybe it might be all gone by tomorrow.
