Diazepam works straight away, normally within 20 minutes of taking the tablet - it’s a sedative, not an AD, normally used for very acute symptoms. There are meds, like buspirone, which are used more to lower general levels of anxiety than to deal with sudden onset anxiety/panic. They all have their merits and I’m sure your doctors are well aware of your needs right now

I agree, I'm sure your GP will be aware of how things are going. Are they not passing you from the crisis team to the CMHT? Might be worth asking - I don't want you to be left with no support...

Yup, that's me doing 1/2 hour of exercise every single day in February!
Hi purple! I can tell that you're trying really hard to get through all of this. Good for you. You'll come through the other side believe me.....in spite of yourself. We're in the depths of winter which doesn't help, but soon, the lighter evenings will be here. Yes, I agree that your faith will get you through. One day at a time, little bit by little bit. So pleased to read that Dave is still sober....well done him, and well done you for being by his side. You're a much needed person and should be proud of what you can give people. Take care.xx

I get mixed up with my tablets a lot. I still have not seen my new G.P.
It was the crisis team who prescribed the tablets and had a chat about them. I am really fed up, irritable and short tempered I just can't seem to pi k myself up and staying out of bed and active is becoming harder. I'm having herring and sweet potato for lunch, that might cheer me up. Alan from church is coming round so at least I will have some company.

Why are you changing GP? Is it because you're changing from private to NHS?
Can you get Maxine to help with your tablets?

Maybe a Dosette box might help..you know, put all your tabs for the day - morning, afternoon and evening - Maxine or your son could help. I have one and fill it up for the following week on a Sunday. You're bound to be exhausted..anxiety and depression does that. It's natures way of repairing your body. No consolation when you're feeling it I know but it will pass.![]()
Just leaving![]()
