Hoorah for Custard and hot chocs! No rain? Did you have a lovely wander home too?

How was CC and the party? Did you get a party hat to wear?

Custard Club was great chicken, roast spuds, boiled spuds, broccoli and cauli and because there wasn't many there, for pudding we had an enormous chunk of jam sponge and custard. Only enough time for about 3 games of dominoes before four of us changed venue from the Guild Hall to a local school for the community party.

At the community party we had entertainment from the school choir, a few individual children singing and some dancers, interspersed with eating sandwiches, scoffing cake and chugging down tea or coffee. There were crackers so a few of us sat round wearing paper hats all afternoon, mine was a fetching yellow (I think we were in the minority).

Apparently there was a tv series called Educating Greater Manchester (something like that) made at the school and a guy associated with the tv series took some pictures of us oldies in our silly hats and they were going to be put on Twitter the photos not the hats

Needless to say all I had to eat for a late dinner was a sausage barm (bread roll) as I was totally stuffed

Seeing as we are in the Christmas season this is Mike's tune of the day.

I always think of the German soldiers singing the Carol in the trenches in ww1.

They look at me and think I'm cool, I'm purplefan at night I rule.
