Thread: Mike's Patch

Any more Christmas parties Mike? Shame there were only 6 people at custard club. It did sound like a classic though.

I see a woman in the nightWith a baby in her hand Under an old street light Near a garbage can. Now she puts the kid away,
and she's gone to get a hit She hates her life,
and what she's done to it. There's one more kid that will never go to school Never get to fall in love,
    never get to be cool.

As promised a pictorial presentation of yesterday's (Fridays) doings *drum roll*

I took a short cut and finished up at a dead end but found the secret lair of the inflatable Santa.

Next stop lunch at the White Horse.

First the main course nom, nom.

    Next the pud slurp, slurp.

Sadly no hot choc as they don't do hot choc and the coffee is rubbish.

Just a quicky before I brave the rain and head out for Sunday lunch.

There was a woodpecker on the big oak near my house so got my good camera zoomed in but too much camera shake and it kept going in and out of focus. So got my tripod and after I'd fathomed out how to attach the camera and set it up the damn woody had flown, grr I'll never make a wildlife photographer :/

Hope you have a lovely lunch!
Wildlife photography is really hard! I'd love to see the pics you get, when you do get it all sorted.

What a horrid drizzly, raining, wet & misty day.

Went to the Boundary Stone had the turkey Sunday roast which was in all but name an Xmas dinner for pud had choc fudge cake and custard (yep for the third time in a row had choc fudge cake, am I becoming addicted )

Did some shopping at the Co-op got bread, mince pies, cheesecake, ice cream plus a couple of other items. I use a shoulder bag these days but it tends to slide off with having sloping shoulders, methinks you need hook shaped shoulders to adequately wear a shoulder bag

Hi Mike!....love the idea of the wildlife photography...love the idea of choc. fudge cake even more!! funnily enough I went for a walk this morning and heard a woodpecker! Saw 2 robins and a squirrel! We get owls at night and although they use them in horror films to scare you, I find them quite comforting! I only found out a few weeks ago from a neighbour that the ones that go Toowit Twoo and the ones that have a high pitched screech, aren't two different types of owl, one is female and one male of the same species!! David Attenborough eat yer 'eart out!!

Just been playing Atelier Firis (PS Vita) this morning , boiling some spuds (Tesco as I've eaten all my home grown) to go with a pork pie and some tomatoes.

Quite chilly upstairs need to turn up the thermostatic radiator valves.

Attempted to video some crows on my back lawn without too much success as the kept wandering off, well stone the crows
