Braved the wind and rain and went to the Cock for lunch had a voucher so 30% off mains had hunter's chicken skillet, hunter's chicken on one dish, chips on another and peas in a bowl what's wrong with bunging them all on one plate, ended with apple pie and custard. Pondered whether to go for a walk afterwards but decided against it as one minute it is sunny then next one it is blowing a gale and lashing it down with rain and a cold wet wind in your face is no fun.

We've had loads of wind too! I'm glad you were sensible and went straight home...

Set sail for the nearest port, dropped anchor 't ye Olde Cock.

A view from ye hostelry window where comely wenches served us grub.

Quaffed grog and ate hard tack (gammon & eggs followed by apple pie and custard ).

Entering the port o' Worsley (motorway interchange).

Reconstructing ye harbour (Ongoing work renovating the area round the mine entrance Worsley).

Inland now and hacking me way thru' jungle (The dam from which Worsley Dam get's it's name, without that it'd just be a stream).

Ye glorious autumnal colours I espied with me 'scope.

An afternoon viewed through the eyes of a pirate

I be liking the views of ye olde pirate!
As an aside did I ever tell you the story of Marc and I at Black Gang Chine on the Isle of Wight? Well..... Marc has alopecia universalis and has no hair at all. He wears a bandana. We were in the queue to get in and this little person tugged on his Mum's t-shirt and said "Mum, Mum, Mum it's a real life pirate!" Well this little person's Mum went bright red and she muttered something along "sorry" and she just wanted to ground to swallow her up... So I had to look at him and say "he really is! We're looking for his parrot!" It was SOOOOO funny! Marc actually has a t-shirt with "retired pirate" and a skull and crossbones on it!
