Hi all......just getting over the excesses of Christmas. I'm doing my 2 hour shop stint today so it's getting back to normal in that respect! The tree is beginning to flop a bit now. Ian is going in to M&S to spend the christmas gift vouchers in the food hall. Yum, a trouble free new years eve din dins on the horizon tonight! I shall be making rolls etc again on Thursday. All ready made 6 cakes for the shop...easy and quick recipes. My new year's resolution (which might not be kept) is to spend as little as possible on Amazon! I'm actually waiting for a delivery! Snort! Ah, but it's still 2018!

Well, I shall wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2019, and don't drink too much tonight!! Speak soon.xxxxxx

Hi all and happy new year to you all! Had a relaxing day today, as i hope you all have! We had the village tug-o-war today which was a riot! Men in dresses, gladiators, scuba divers! And a very full pub! We had a spectacular fireworks display last night put on by the pub, and the village beacon was lit..all 15ft high of it! There was a wonderful atmosphere and lots of good humour. I shall be back soon. Have a lovely evening!xxxxx

It sounds like there’s an amazing community spirit where you are. Something rare nowadays

A lot of our neighbors came out of their homes last night at midnight, and we all wished each other a happy new year.
    Your village sounds lovely.

Gotta agree with Paula what an amazing community spirit, a tug of war sounds fun though I hope the guys were a bit more beefy than me
