I forgot to mention that I was offered a pneumonia jab as well. Ian had it, but I'm thinking about it. I'm always a bit worried about vaccinations as when I was 10 I had a smallpox one and I was really ill for a week or so. But I may just make an appointment and have one as apparently it guards against sepsis and other nasties in old age.

I had the pneumonia and shingles jab (apparently having shingles which I have had doesn't give you immunity!) last year (they're just a one off), probably worth having Flo,

Have a good Day Flo, anything planned?

Did you know Mike, that shingles is caused the reactivation of the chicken pox virus? The chickenpox virus never leaves the body. The shingles vaccination makes any subsequent infection milder.

The pneumonia one lasts for 10 years, so well worth having. Pneumonia is horrid, I had it when I was younger and Marc had it just before Ben's 1st birthday.

    Morning Flo, how's stuff today?

Yup I did know that Jaq and shingles is very painful from what looks like a innocuous rash.
