Can you speak to MIND? See if they can help you?

What other things are there near you? Is there a mental health charity running drop in sessions or courses or advocacy who could help?

We don't have MIND or Rethink in the city anymore. There is the Survivors group but I really didn't fit in there and there was no real structure to it. I guess I could call DIAL but I got a feeling I've pretty much exhausted the local options

A quick Google threw up a service from your local NHS trust called Healthy Minds - if you haven't already come across it, may be worth a look?

Yeah it was through them I did my group CBT. A lot of the courses they claim to run had been dropped when I asked.

Then maybe you should try calling dial and see what they can suggest?

I'll make the call on Monday. I've printed off the self assessment form (all 10 pages) for Health Minds too, however I'm not sure I need to complete it having used the service previously. Got as far as personal details and medication before I drew a blank.

Can you tell them that so they understand how you're struggling?

I don't even know how to describe the way I am right now. Generally I feel like I'm doing ok, but there's plenty of evidence to the contrary.

Have you asked your GP for a referral to a psychiatrist in a community mental health team? Sorry to ask if you already have. But if your GP won't do it I suggest making an appointment with one that will. It can lead to more in depth research of exactly what your struggles are and from my experience a few years back it is the quickest route to some proper support and therapy from a support worker and psychologist.
