    Patient Information Leaflets (PIL)

Are the risks over emphasised? Do the PILs need to focus more on the good medicines do?

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

I have to confess to giving up reading these a long time ago...

I think the info leaflets need to emphasise the good they can do but also the side effects and what they cannot and can be taken with, and also be very easy to understand
If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but by all means keep moving.

Looking at the leaflets in my meds there's a long list of possible side effects some on the face of it contradictory like may cause weight loss or weight gain, it is like they're covering every eventuality.
77 and counting, less of the "Old" call me "Mike"
