Alcohol tends to have the opposite effect. You may be asleep but it's not healthy, restful sleep
I believe if you wear enough pretty lipstick, sparkly jewellery and great shoes, no one will notice the size of your ass

Fortunately I get laboured on the effects of alcohol and drinking responsibly just about every day of my working life (I work for a major brewer). I've never been dependent on alcohol and don't really drink other than the odd beer, so it's not a "goto" thing for me.

Hi Bobbo.....sorry you're going through it! it's difficult being with lots of people when you're feeling like that, especially on holiday! I, like others on the Forum suffer with anxiety - usually goes hand in hand with depression - and like you, find it difficult to eat..you know you should eat but there's no pleasure in it and it's like eating gravel! I'm sure the family will give you the space you need. Try and relax as much as possible, and join in activities when you feel up to it...doing little things can be a good distraction. I hope it passes soon.

That's it, there's no enjoyment in it and my body is just not craving food. I LOVE pizza and even that isn't floating my boat at the moment. I'm trying to force myself to eat, but my stomach is rejecting a lot of it quickly.

Ive been trying to do as much as possible to keep my mind occupied as i know my attention span is limited so can forget stuff, but as soon as I stop I start feeling down again. Lying on a sun lounger "relaxing" is the worst.

Can you try to eat something simple like breakfast biscuits?

I bought some meal replacement shakes and was drinking them to make sure I got vitamins and some calories, but I'm in Spain at the moment so don't have easy access to that kind of thing.

What about something simple like bread and cheese?

It might be worth taking a trip to the local Pharmacy...most of them speak English (or maybe you speak Spanish) it wouldn't surprise me at all if you could get the equivalent of Complan or other 'build-up' shakes. It's worth a try!
