Ah, that's an option that becomes available when we've got to know you a bit more. As I think I've mentioned before about something else, it's to try to protect members from trolls.

Thanks for the quick reply ah, I understand. Just sometimes I want to add more to my posts. Maybe a time limit? Say an hour or even half hour?

It works the way it is tbh and security has to take priority.

If there's something that's important to change, you could always ask one of the team to consider editing it.

You can always just do a second post straight after. One of us will likely merge it when doing some spring cleaning.

Ok. I will do if I need to add more. Just on most forums there usually is a time limit where you can edit posts. I know the forum I moderate on is 4 hours, but I understand your reasons. Also where I moderate new members the first 5 posts have to be approved by a moderator. I know every forum is different though so no worries

Thanks to Paula and Jaq for clarifying. With the sensitive nature of the forum I've set everything pretty strictly, but also wanted to get that balance of being welcoming and friendly hence they are as they are. I've worked on many forums with different settings, but these work best here. Thanks for mentioning it though..
