My SIL didn't have a car for a while as she worked out it was actually cheaper to just hire a car for the days she needed it!

Just happened to drag this thread back up. I was notified a week ago that the paperwork sent to the consultant on the 20th January was finally completed and emailed to DVLA last Thursday! Not emails are pretty much instantaneous right? Well as of Tuesday the information still hadn't been attached to my file. No one can tell me how long before a decision is made but should they choose to ever decide to give me my licence back it will take upto a further two weeks for me to receive it in the post. It's getting beyond a joke now. And they wonder why people don't bother notifying DVLA of changes. 6 months and still no closer to being back behind the wheel.

This is ridiculous! I really, really hope that it's sorted soon. I hope you write a letter of complaint.

It's the consultant who is to blame. 15 weeks to tick a couple of boxes and sign it.

I may be wrong but I think you won't have to wait until you have the actual licence in the post. Once it's approved, you're ok to drive. I think that's the case so I'd recommend checking

    I know that doesn't change what's happened but .......
I believe if you wear enough pretty lipstick, sparkly jewellery and great shoes, no one will notice the size of your ass
