    Me too

Insomnia is a problem for me too, even with the radio on nights can go so slowly.

I don't know if anyone on here has any techniques or ideas which help in getting off to sleep.

You could try breathing exercises, breathe in through the nose out through the mouth slowly at a consistant rate, eyes closed and focus on a happy thought or memory, relax and don't use a computer or watch tv for half hour before going to bed, its why i read everynight and have a basic kindle that is not back lit so it doesn't strain my eyes.
