Propranolol question.

I am asking this for a friend. Just want personal experience, I know no one can give medical advice.
How long does Propranolol take to work (is it minutes, hours, or does it have to be taken regularly?), and what sort of doses do people use for anxiety?

I'm on 40mg 3 times a day for anxiety and I find it takes affect pretty quickly, usually within 30 minutes to an hour

I used to be on it and it took about that long to start to have an effect for me, but ti can be different for everyone as you know hunni

That's helpful, thanks both. I wasn't sure if it was something that needed to be taken regularly, or could be taken as required. It sounds as if taking as required works, and that's what I hoped.
