New start
So in honour of me moving (and the fact my last thread had gotten quite long) I'm going to start again!
Got my latest assignment back, my iCMA. 10/10!!! So chuffed as I only learnt how to do simple linear regression literally minutes before I answered those questions!
And as promised, the area around my new home

Happy new thread day!
Love those pics, so much difference to where you are now.. Congratulations on the result! That's fabulous!
-
Beautiful! What a difference it’s going to make! And awesome result!!!!
-
That first photo is the road into the village coming from the York direction. I'll have to get some photos of the road in from Hull. We walked pretty much the length of the village in less than 10 minutes, with the children in tow, which tells you how small it is. The other photos were from the old railway line.
-
It's much less busy than where you are now by the looks of it.. Which can only be a good thing for your mental health and studies!
-
Beautiful pics, very countryfied (is that a word) is there a shop and a pub in the village? :)
-
It's a proper village. You can walk from end to the other in around 5 minutes. There is only 1 street off Main Street on both sides at J's end of the village and then it's open countryside. There's a church, village shop with a post office counter, primary school, village hall and a pub and at the last census, there were less than 1400 people living there! It's very peaceful and people in the street say hello. I love it!
-
So glad you've found somewhere you love to be..
-
Hi Jaq.....your new village looks idyllic... I take it you're both looking for a new place to live? (or haven't I read enough!) It will be a great place for the kids to live I also noticed (if I'm correct) that there's a neighbourhood watch sign on a post...we have a very 'eagle eyed' bunch of watchers in our village! I couldn't help noticing in your now closed thread what you wrote about the kids' mother Cruella and her shouting at one of the kids. I have to say that I wouldn't stand for that, having a kid sobbing on the end of the phone wanting to come home. It needs rectifying. She and the rest of her dysfunctional side of the family need reining in. No judge in the land would allow that behaviour. Those poor kids! My kids father and his parents/sister etc., did the same thing and access was stopped by me and my solicitor with the help of a Judge in private chambers with my two kids who in no uncertain fashion told said Judge that they didn't want to see their father. End of....give it some thought. But on a lighter note, well done for doing so well on your course and for being a really good mum. It's Mothers Day soon.....should be interesting! Good luck with everything

I'm moving in to his house. He's lived in the village since he was a year old and it makes it easier on the children too. We've pretty much erased her from the house now and I'm painting the hallway and downstairs loo in my summer break, and will try and do T's room too.
-
Sweetie, what’s J’s long term aims re the kids? Is he looking at sole custody?
-
Have a great driving lesson.
-
How are you feeling today love?
-
Tired. Feel like I'm wading through treacle and I have a headache starting. We had a drive to Hornsea but I didn't drive back as I'd tensed up and my wrists had started throbbing.
-
Do you know what caused you to tense up? Are you being kind to you this afternoon?
-
-
Hey, lovely, where’s your head at?
-
Just popping by to see how you are Jaq (panda)
-
I'm ok, just tired. Got some great feedback on my research report though and 79!
-
That’s awesome!
I’m not sure I believe you’re ok, just tired ......
-
What an awesome result!
How are you doing love?
-
I've been a good girl and booked my eye test. Not a fan as I hate choosing new glasses but I had the reminder last month and it's not worth risking missing any damage my meds may be doing. Plus, once I move in with J I have to pay for it so I may as well get it out of the way while I still get income support.
-
Well done love. I know you hate it, but you're right - it's so important.
How's your mood?
-
It's ok. Fatigue is bugging me though
-
Longer lasting flare huh? (bear) (panda)
-
The fatigue is pretty much always there, it's just been more noticeable since the flare. My rheumy said that methotrexate can contribute to that and I may find that a lower dose will help
-
Both my IIH and high BP were picked up through my routine eye test - it is important, love, so well done for booking it
-
But then you run the risk of the Metho not being a strong enough dose to work on the RA.... I hate having to dodge those type of tightrope decisions....
How are you today? When are you going back to J + yours?
-
Apparently my bloods are showing it's under control. If I start flaring more I can always ring the rheumatology helpline and one of the nurses will get back to me.
Back there Thursday. We're taking another load of my stuff over too. The plan is I don't go back after Easter, though of.course, when I mentioned it to my mum she claims I hadn't told her, even though I have definitely mentioned it!
-
Sorry, you don't go back after Easter? Go back to your Mum's?
-
Yes. Sorry, should have made that clearer. I'll only spend Wednesday nights at my parents until I've passed my test
-
That's awesome! How are you feeling about it?
-
Excited. It already feels like home to me
-
That's so fabulous! Are the kids excited?
-
-
They seem to be! Last Monday when they got home from school T asked why I wasn't there so J explained that I needed to get some stuff sorted.
"Well she should have got some stuff and come straight back!"
-
Aww that's so awesome! I'm so pleased for you! :)
-
-
Very exciting. Full of cold again though.
-
Morning love, how are you feeling today? Hope the driving lesson goes well x
