I have just been reading in my magazine about a girl who bravley shared her story about her self harming.

Her story has brought tears to my eyes.

You are very welcome Vicky, I must say I don't really know much about self harm but my daughter came and told me the other day that her friend from school has been doing it for ages and she was really worried about her and didn't know what to do.
I didn't really know what to tell her except to tell a teacher but she said the teachers wouldn't do anything but the other day this girl was taken to hospital after taking an OD, my daughter was distraught as I am sure you could imagine and I was so upset that it had actually got this far. Social services are invoved now as I think the girl was having a lot of family problems. I told Gemma to tell her that she is welcome to come around here anytime.

Thanks ali , it makes you think about Alcoholism as self harm never looked at it like that before

Yes it does. I never looked at it like that I spose in a way a lot of things can be classed as self harm.

Yea funny how we all look at things without realising the real thing (if you know what i mean)
