I am a 32 year old mother of two with a thyroid dissorder. Have been married for 6 years. We live in the West Midlands.
I have suffered bouts of depression since having my first child in 2002. I am currently off work due to a depresive episode and work are being stroppy.
My father in law suffered a break down last year and considering we both work for the same company although at different branches he has received much better treatment from work than I have.
Morning chicky, glad you could join us!!!!
You will find nothing but support and friendship here and lots and lots of understanding!!!!!

hun don't push yourself when you are ready to talk we will be here. I will say though without the peeps on this forum I don't know where i would be.
No one is judgmental here and I find it helps just to write my feelings down, even if it's only on a scrap of paper that no one will ever see.
Also remember we are here to talk about the good times as well as the bad so if you have any happy stories you want to share then feel free.

Thanks seaspirit.
From looking round and posting on the thread about hypnotherapy I am starting to wonder if it all starts earlier than I had originally thought. I am going to councelling and it is so hard because I am uncoving stuff that I must of deliberatley burried and forgot iyswim.

Hun I think we have all done that, I have things that happened to me in my childhood that I don't think I could ever talk about, like you say you just bury them hoping that they will never surface again, but slowly they are creeping out like weeds you can't get rid of.
chicky, take things slowly, there is no need to pour out everything all in one go.. talk as and when you think you can, there is no rush

Just to echo what Ali (seaspirit) has said just take it at your own pace and don't worry. Everyone here is going through the same thing and is very understanding kind, gentle. No one will judge you because we all know exactly what you mean.
Post when you need us, I tend to find posting about a specific problem helps rather than (as Suzi said) trying to get everything in one post!
You mentioned work problems. I had exactly the same problem last year they were awful. My advice is to see the Citizens Advice Bureau they will help you to find out where you stand legally which should hopefully make work back off. Keep speaking to your doctor, your GP's word is final, if he says you can't go back to work just yet you can't. I know how you feel though, the pressure just makes you feel worse! Don't panic, they really can't force you to do anything. If you've been there for a year you have employee rights, if you're worried they're going to fire you they really can't, it would count as unfair dismissal because you have proof that you're ill (doctor's notes), same goes for trying to force you back to work.
I hope that helps a little, don't worry, you're in safe hands here grouphug*
