Hello.
I am a newbie. My name is Julie and I have suffered depression since the age of 16. I am now 33. I find it hard to deal with the general day to day things sometimes. I also suffer panic attacks too. I work full time and I am mum to three children but do not have a very good support network. My husband tries his best but I feel sometimes he feels that he does not know how to handle me. I have been off citalopram for a few months but feel like I need somewhere I can go to, to chat or vent when I start feeling that it is coming back.
The doctor has put me on all sorts of medication from amitriptyline, prozac, valium etc etc.
Look forward to getting to know everyone and hoping to help if I can
Love
Julie xxx

Morniong Julie. Thanks for posting.

With regard to your husband not knowing how to handle you... i totally get where he is coming from as i am in a similar situation with my OH. Its really hard to know what to do / say for the best..

Is there any way you could suggest that he joined here so that he could learn and understand more about depression too? Its the way i have learnt most - by actually talking to people with and those who live with sufferers and i think i have got better at "dealing" with Marc..

Hi Julie and welcome to DWD

I have suffered from panic attacks as well and I know how hard it is trying to juggle your life with three children and cope with them at the same time.

Look forward to chatting with you
