OK I am thinking about having a regular newsletter for DWD.. a few questions that you can all help me with!!!
1) DO you want one?
2) What do you want to see in one?
3) How often do you want to recieve one? monthly/ quaterly
4) Would you like the option to write articles/comments for it?
Thanks in Advance for your answers!!!!

Hello Suzi,
If I'm to be really honest, I don't know if a newsletter would be an advantage.......I can't actually think of what I would like to see in there ~ this is of course for me, personally......I think it's a good idea, but maybe there would need to be more users for it to have a noticeable effect?? Maybe we all ought to think about how best to get more peeps on this forum, and keep the ones already registered using it..................??
At the mo there is soooooooooooooooooooooo much going on over here that I don't know if I'm on my ar*e or my elbow ~ not much help ~ sorry :(
I will keep thinking about the newsletter tho - if I come up with something I'll be sure to let you know - maybe I could do a bit about my CBT when I start that - give you a diary or something......?? I know I would have liked to have known more about it before taking the step to do it...!!

Hmm... well, maybe not a "newsletter" newsletter. Maybe something like articles about what helps us, information from NIH, or the like... just thoughts...
the plan is that this will be something like a monthly email just to remind others that we are here.. we have so many registered people but not that many regular posters!!!
So am thinking hard.. any suggestions gratefully recieved!! I will get on to it anyway (as the boss is now expecting one!! and im not goingt o let her down!!!!) and send out something probably over the weekend or next week...

hmmmm well usually in a news letter you have bits about competitions, or diary dates like mothersday for example. Achievements maybe or birthdays.
I'm wondering if the fact its a depression forum browsers don't post about other things, because all the focus is on depression and we post when we are feeling down. do i make any sense! So maybe and i'm not sure if you want dwd to be like this, you can promote the fact that it is a forum you can chat about anything on.
Whilst its 2am in the morning and my brain is working for once as well, and please don't think i'm an interferring old moo! but...
You know where the you have the titled sections like general chit chat etc.
Maybe you can have a few more variations like
Achievements - so we can talk about the good things we've done erm - Kids Section?
More categories to promote chat.
I'll shut up now, and maybe having that strong coffee wasn't such a good idea!

I think a monthly email would be good and like donut we should also encourage the good things.
I totally agree with you!!!!
So promoting things like achievements to go on holiday, things like that??
