Here is a pic of Abbie waiting to go to school this morning proudly wearing her scarf I knitted yesterday.

It didn't take long I used 12mm needles so It knitted up real quick.

I actually thought it would give me something to do whilst the kids ae at school but once I started it I couldn't stop lol.

Wow! Rocking scarf! My mum made me one (just like that but in blue!) for Christmas last year, it's tempting to join in and pretend I made it......

In which case I prolly shouldn't have told you my mum made it......

LOL, actually its far easier than i ever thought and i can now knit 3 stitches! I am SO proud!

Wow! I'm impressed, at this rate even I'm going to be having a go a knitting (well, I have got lots of wool that I weave with so I'm not short of that!) :-) (Dont' hold your breath chaps!)

For the wool try wilkinsons or home bargains they tend to do a lot of the "fancy wools" at a reasonable price!!

We don't have a wilkinsons in Cornwall,the 'wool' I used in Abbies scarf cost just over £1 a ball from a little wool shop in St Austell. I only used two balls so still think it was a bargain.

Wilkos were doing the fancy wools on a buy one get one free the other week. not sure if they are still doing that. Also Aldi and Lidl sometimes have wool in at fairly reasonable prices. Charity shops can be good too.
