View Full Version : Chocolate Mania Episode
Hi all,
Last night, I purchased a family pack of Kit Kats: eight two finger versions. I've just eaten the last one in an obscene chocolate binge!(sweat) Oh no...six hours in the gym to get rid of that lot.
Anyone else a chocoholic? If so, what's your favourite melty tipple?(talk)
(Don't they say chocolate is a mood enhancer?)
Hope everyone is well today.(clap)
hi Marky I havent got a sweet tooth so rarely eat chocolate or cake or ice cream or sweets, the only sweet thing i have is sugar in my coffee as dont drink pop either.
ooo nom for chocolate! My personal favourite is the Waitrose dark chocolate! :)
I know that feeling. I've been having too many chocolate binges lately. I love green and blacks but that's for special occasions as so expensive. For now its anything cadbury.
What's your comfort food, Angie? Have you got one? I could eat chocolate all day. Eating Jaffa Cakes now LOL.
Suzi, Shine, I've never had either Waitrose or Green and Blacks, but I am now going to have to seek them out! Hehehehe.
Any Creme Egg addicts?(rock)
Comfort food really is a hard one for me as eating is another thing I have problems with as in actually wanting to eat at all, but if had a comfort food it would be probably something like pasta or vegatable based
You know food like that makes me ill, Angie. Struggle to eat anything organic. Have to take a load of vitamin pills and stuff. Weird, huh.
I have never had a sweet tooth even as a young child.
What were your snacks? Did you eat biscuits?
nope no biscuits hardly, even now, fruit is more my thing if its a sweet snack, apples, grapes, bananas, pears or plums
I ought to eat more fruit, Angie. It doesn't do the belly any good though. Only fruit I eat is Fruit and Nut and that can't be good! ^)
its not easy is it
my lad is lactose intollerant he can tolerate a certain amount but is ill if goes over that limit.
It isn't easy no, Angie. I can't eat bread either (without severe bloating and cramps), so lunchtimes in town are a right pain. Lactose intolerance must be hard for the lad?
it can be as it cuts out alot of food that he loves
I'm an out and out chocaholic. I love very bitter dark chocolate with raspberry, orange, mint or lemon. I also love British chocolate, ie Dairy milk, which is so much fattier than French chocolate. The fourth year students boughtnme chocolate as a goodbye present. They know me well !
OK I really really really fancy chocolate and have some in the house, but am on major diet so am being good and am munching baby plum tomatoes! lol It's just not the same though..
Spi, I've been known to sit down and stuff my face with a family sized Dairy Milk watching the telly!!(think) Absolutely love Dairy Milk.
Sorry for mentioning this, Suzi. :) I agree - baby toms just aren't the same! Sigh.
i prefer the baby tomatoes

I'm shocked, Dolly. Too tired to eat choc choc? You must have had a busy day, hon.

Someone has eaten the last magnum infinity!!!! I've had a stressful day which included and exam and being told a huge piece of work I've done over the last year needs MORE work! So not impressed :(
I cannot believe that the last Magnum Infinity has gone! Sorry, Dolly. Chin up and I hope you have a better day tomorrow. What are you studying, if you don;t mind my asking?

I'm a nurse, less than 2 years qualified, and having spent 6 months on an oncology ward I got a years post (maternity cover) but I've had loads of courses to go on to, yesterday was an Introduction to Chemotherapy, but the piece of work is one that newly qualified nurses have to do as part of a internship that I was on. It's now 2 lever arch files and hours of work and the person who signs it off says she wants me to do a bit more work - aaarrrggghhh!!!! Sorry, waffling (nod)

LF - I always sell myself short, never think I'm good enough at anything and I always have
Mark - think I'm ill, not had any chocolate for ages!!! 2 bars of Galaxy are lying in the drawer unopened - what is that all about :o
i can't believe it, Dolly. I'm stunned. You must be ill! I recommend a night in front of the telly in your PJ's snaffling both the bars one chunk after the other! One chocolatier to another - you know it makes sense!!
(I'm so p***ed off at my latest weight gain, I've treated myself to a family sized bag of M and M's! (Treets, as I remember them!):)

Chocolate is good. Chocolate cake is better. Cake makes everthing better in my opinion, i really love cake! Cake is a form of medication you know, and releases icing based endorphines into the brain. Probably.

Sorry to bring down this thread but even chocolate is not working for me :( I guess I must be really broken :( :( :(
We must all be the same, gang. It must be the moon cycle. ;)
Dolly, I've just eaten eight chocolate orange cookies, a double Mars and a packet of Co-op chocolate biscuits. All I can say is that I am so glad I'm not into drugs.:) Hope everything is alright, my chocoholic friend! :-)

Any reason, Dolly? I'm not going anywhere for a bit?

I'm beaten, there's no light at the end of the tunnel, I was doing ok until I went to the doctors and he spoke about my psych appt and my past, I wasn't prepared for it. Just can't deal with life just now, due to go on holiday on Thursday and am in a complete panic, anxiety is taking over
Whereabouts are you going on holiday, Dolly?
Dollydimple
24-08-12, 11:57 PM
Canada, I leave on thursday
the reason I ask is that I'm staying at my ex's house for two days. I'm babysitting my son (15). She's going on holiday and she's been terrible all week. Apparently, there is a condition which exists that approximates to extreme anxiety which people get just before holidays. I don't know how accurate that is.
Is it your first visit there? I love the place. The vastness of it...

Last time I was there was 24 years ago.
Oh is watching some really creepy film and I really don't like it
Not ideal is it. Are you on a phone? Can you move?
Dollydimple

He's gone to bed, I have the remote!!!
Yayyy! Now that's something! Is the holiday worrying you? Are you going for a long time?
Dollydimple
25-08-12, 12:30 AM
I'm going for 22 days!! Leaving oh and kids at home!! What's worrying me is the thought of going to a different house, how am I going to cope, what happens if I have a panic attack - being out of my comfort zobe
You might find that you are more likely to panic inside a comfort zone! Wishing you all the best and btw, I am officially envious!(rofl)
Just munched four strawberry Cornetto Enigmas: Heaven in a wafer cone for less than the price of a pint! hehehehehhe
I am a South African but funnily enough we have suddenly started seeing Jaffa cakes in our local Pick n Pay( big national chain of supermarkets a bit like waitrose I guess) and as my hubby loves them(he lived in England many years ago while doing his Master's degree) he has been buying them regularly. I just cant resist!! Not very good for the figure and as spring has finally sprung here in SA it's time for summer clothes and I need to stop nibbling.
I tend to eat for comfort, unfortunately...also had major surgery 22 june(middle of our winter here) and haven't been able to exercise yet, but wondering if a few gentle laps in the pool at my gym would get me psyched up for summer, get those endorphins going, without doing too much internal damage as I am healing from the abdom surgery? I swim very slowly and only a gentle breaststroke..unlike my teen daughter who is an A team swimmer at her high school and really talented! We loved watching the Olympics, our SA athletes and the British ones...Better end off now, very late and I need my sleep.(happy)
Hi Sandra...in my experience, Jaffa Cakes are brilliant for everything from recovering from major surgery to watching sad films on the box!! I can eat tubes of them. My record is 72 before my ex hid the rest. (rofl) Tell your other half that - and accept no substitute for the blue box! Hehehe.
I'm off for a big night out. Feel like poo, but hopefully I'll feel better later. Autumn has arrived early this year, judging by the view from my window. Whatever happened to the Blue Remembered Hills of Summer! Take care everyone and have a great weekend. M(clap)(Kiss)
Have a good night Marky try and relax and just enjoy it, and have a good weekend aswell
Thanks Angie and Suzy. Had a pleasant night in the "beer garden" with a warming fire and some cold cider. It was nice to spend time with friends...staying on topic for my absent friend Dollydimple, we had a pizza late night and a chocolate cake afterwards which was possibly the most decadent chocolate cake I've ever eaten. Death by Chocolate melted into a pot, dripping off the spoon. It was just sublime...highlight of the night for chocoholics! Hope you two are having a fine weekend!:)
