My dad is short, only just 5’6” when he joined the fire service in 1974, one of the criteria was that they had to be over 5’6” to get in. He always said that he wore extra thick socks when they measured him ;). Anyway, because of the height restrictions, the mirrors in the changing area were put up high and dad struggled to see in them to shave so, he started jumping up and down to be able to see. Just like Tigger. Which became his nickname for all his years of service (giggle)
