Title says it all! What are your favourites? I was privileged enough to sing in the choir stalls at Salisbury Cathedral when I was at school and I've always loved carols anyway ;) Although I still remember to the words O come all ye faithful in Latin, rather than English...

Once in Royal David's City and Silent Night are 2 of my favourites.

What I struggle to get my head round is both T and A went/go to a CofE primary school and hardly know any carols! It's just odd!

I think that most schools have phased out carols, I think it's really sad :(

OK, baseline test - they have to know Little Donkey and While shepherds washed their socks by night?

O holy night. It always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

I think it's really sad too... Whether you are a believer or not, there's something magical about a group of people coming together and sharing music from one generation to another etc I know about 10 years ago the school nursery were saying that most of the kids when they joined knew more pop songs than nursery rhymes. It just feels so sad that these bits of stories and traditions are being lost so quickly...
