Hey, sorry....I think I was a Little drunk when I posted.
Alcohol really isn't good with depression as it's a natural depressant...

I know. I have been drinking more lately....not like I think I have a problem or anything, but I know I should be drinking less
Remind me, are you on meds?
Honestly, how much are you drinking?
The thing is, you don't have to drink to excess everyday to have a problem.
Alcohol isn't only an issue for your mental health, but for your physical health too.

I'm on sertraline
When was the last time you had a meds review, lovely?

I drink cider, vodka, gin, diasaronmo, malibu, shots....I don't drink everyday
OK, on a typical week how much?
Do you drink alone or socially?

It doesn't matter. It's not enough that it's a problem, I know that much
But it could be an issue. If you're taking sertraline - an anti depressant then you are adding alcohol which is a depressant it's not a good mix, that's all I'm saying. A couple of drinks every now and then is one thing, but more than that etc could be an issue and could also help if you are mood tracking and see dips...

I enjoy a few beers too and yeah I will binge on a night out or watching sporting events. It’s not ideal but everyone needs a blowout once in a while. Recently it was recognised here that I was drinking more and like yourself I don’t consider myself as having a problem so I have made a conscious effort to reduce what I drink again. If is easy for thinks to get away from you especially when alcohol becomes a coping mechanism. I’m trying to be more observant of my mood before drinking. If I’m not in a good place mentally I know it’s best not to drink because I am more likely to drink too much plus it’s counter productive.

I hope I haven't upset you...
