So in honour of me moving (and the fact my last thread had gotten quite long) I'm going to start again!
Got my latest assignment back, my iCMA. 10/10!!! So chuffed as I only learnt how to do simple linear regression literally minutes before I answered those questions!
And as promised, the area around my new home

Happy new thread day!
Love those pics, so much difference to where you are now.. Congratulations on the result! That's fabulous!
Beautiful! What a difference it’s going to make! And awesome result!!!!

That first photo is the road into the village coming from the York direction. I'll have to get some photos of the road in from Hull. We walked pretty much the length of the village in less than 10 minutes, with the children in tow, which tells you how small it is. The other photos were from the old railway line.
It's much less busy than where you are now by the looks of it.. Which can only be a good thing for your mental health and studies!

Beautiful pics, very countryfied (is that a word) is there a shop and a pub in the village? :)
Jaquaia
03-03-20, 04:46 PM
It's a proper village. You can walk from end to the other in around 5 minutes. There is only 1 street off Main Street on both sides at J's end of the village and then it's open countryside. There's a church, village shop with a post office counter, primary school, village hall and a pub and at the last census, there were less than 1400 people living there! It's very peaceful and people in the street say hello. I love it!
So glad you've found somewhere you love to be..
Hi Jaq.....your new village looks idyllic... I take it you're both looking for a new place to live? (or haven't I read enough!) It will be a great place for the kids to live I also noticed (if I'm correct) that there's a neighbourhood watch sign on a post...we have a very 'eagle eyed' bunch of watchers in our village! I couldn't help noticing in your now closed thread what you wrote about the kids' mother Cruella and her shouting at one of the kids. I have to say that I wouldn't stand for that, having a kid sobbing on the end of the phone wanting to come home. It needs rectifying. She and the rest of her dysfunctional side of the family need reining in. No judge in the land would allow that behaviour. Those poor kids! My kids father and his parents/sister etc., did the same thing and access was stopped by me and my solicitor with the help of a Judge in private chambers with my two kids who in no uncertain fashion told said Judge that they didn't want to see their father. End of....give it some thought. But on a lighter note, well done for doing so well on your course and for being a really good mum. It's Mothers Day soon.....should be interesting! Good luck with everything

I'm moving in to his house. He's lived in the village since he was a year old and it makes it easier on the children too. We've pretty much erased her from the house now and I'm painting the hallway and downstairs loo in my summer break, and will try and do T's room too.
Sweetie, what’s J’s long term aims re the kids? Is he looking at sole custody?

Have a great driving lesson.
How are you feeling today love?
Jaquaia
05-03-20, 01:17 PM
Tired. Feel like I'm wading through treacle and I have a headache starting. We had a drive to Hornsea but I didn't drive back as I'd tensed up and my wrists had started throbbing.
Do you know what caused you to tense up? Are you being kind to you this afternoon?
Hey, lovely, where’s your head at?
OldMike
08-03-20, 09:27 AM
Just popping by to see how you are Jaq (panda)
Jaquaia
08-03-20, 09:55 AM
I'm ok, just tired. Got some great feedback on my research report though and 79!
That’s awesome!
I’m not sure I believe you’re ok, just tired ......
What an awesome result!
How are you doing love?
Jaquaia
09-03-20, 08:22 PM
I've been a good girl and booked my eye test. Not a fan as I hate choosing new glasses but I had the reminder last month and it's not worth risking missing any damage my meds may be doing. Plus, once I move in with J I have to pay for it so I may as well get it out of the way while I still get income support.
Well done love. I know you hate it, but you're right - it's so important.
How's your mood?
Jaquaia
09-03-20, 08:47 PM
It's ok. Fatigue is bugging me though
Longer lasting flare huh? (bear) (panda)
Jaquaia
09-03-20, 09:08 PM
The fatigue is pretty much always there, it's just been more noticeable since the flare. My rheumy said that methotrexate can contribute to that and I may find that a lower dose will help
Both my IIH and high BP were picked up through my routine eye test - it is important, love, so well done for booking it
But then you run the risk of the Metho not being a strong enough dose to work on the RA.... I hate having to dodge those type of tightrope decisions....
How are you today? When are you going back to J + yours?
Jaquaia
10-03-20, 09:39 AM
Apparently my bloods are showing it's under control. If I start flaring more I can always ring the rheumatology helpline and one of the nurses will get back to me.
Back there Thursday. We're taking another load of my stuff over too. The plan is I don't go back after Easter, though of.course, when I mentioned it to my mum she claims I hadn't told her, even though I have definitely mentioned it!
Sorry, you don't go back after Easter? Go back to your Mum's?
Jaquaia
10-03-20, 11:42 AM
Yes. Sorry, should have made that clearer. I'll only spend Wednesday nights at my parents until I've passed my test
That's awesome! How are you feeling about it?
Jaquaia
10-03-20, 12:36 PM
Excited. It already feels like home to me
That's so fabulous! Are the kids excited?
Jaquaia
10-03-20, 03:55 PM
They seem to be! Last Monday when they got home from school T asked why I wasn't there so J explained that I needed to get some stuff sorted.
"Well she should have got some stuff and come straight back!"
Aww that's so awesome! I'm so pleased for you! :)

10-03-20, 06:55 PM
Exciting times. X
Jaquaia
10-03-20, 08:51 PM
Very exciting. Full of cold again though.
Morning love, how are you feeling today? Hope the driving lesson goes well x
Jaquaia
11-03-20, 08:33 AM
That's tomorrow! Just had to double check it was Wednesday (giggle)
Feeling a bit rough. Runny nose again, headache, cough and sore throat.
(rofl) Ooops, I've got days muddled up again! :)
Jaquaia
11-03-20, 05:17 PM
Think I'm going to skip my methotrexate tomorrow, give my body a chance to fight off this cold. I got rid of it within a few days last time after struggling with it for a fortnight. Hopefully, with it being a bit warmer my hands won't flare up but going to make a point of taking my splints and compression gloves to J's.
That sounds sensible on all counts...
Jaquaia
12-03-20, 08:27 AM
Good start to the day when I forget to wash out my shampoo before I use conditioner...
Oops! How are you feeling?
(rofl) I've done that before......
Jaquaia
12-03-20, 06:33 PM
A bit rough but had a good driving lesson and at J's now for the next week.
Glad the driving went well and that you're now at J's. Do you have anything nice planned? When have you got J and A?
Jaquaia
12-03-20, 09:04 PM
We picked them up from school tonight and have them until next Thursday after school
YAY! You have your whole family together for a week!
Jaquaia
13-03-20, 08:59 AM
I'm looking forward to it. Apparently T was really chuffed to hear I'd be picking them up with J last night :)
They're delivered to school, messages passed along to teachers, I'm going to have breakfast and then make a cake!
Oh I love that you're so excited! It's awesome.
Jaquaia
13-03-20, 11:24 AM
Cake made and cooling! Can make a start on my essay now
Hooray for cake!
Hope the essay goes well!
You know you sound different when you are at J's? More "centered" itms?
Jaquaia

I feel more like me here. I feel content and loved and safe and happy and it's made me realise that I've never felt like that before. Quite sad really but I haven't. I love reading to A and helping T with his homework. I love settling on the sofa with J and us both being comfortable with us just sat reading. I love it when he starts pinning me and tickling me and the kids automatically jump in on my side. I think I've finally found my place

Thank you! I enjoyed baking it. I haven't enjoyed baking in a long time
It shows that you've enjoyed making it! It's stunning. I bet the little people were shocked and amazed!

J has already had a big slice and informed me I can bake again (giggle)
(rofl) (rofl) I'm not surprised! Your piping is awesome!
Jaquaia
13-03-20, 10:24 PM
Really??? That was without a nozzle too! I just cut the end off the piping bag!
My piping is shockingly bad! Yours is awesome!
Hey you, you’re quiet this weekend. Is it just because you’re doing stuff with your family?
Jaquaia
15-03-20, 09:01 PM
We went to Dalby Forest with the children today, we did a 2 mile trail. Absolutely loved it but suffering a bit now.
I bet they loved it? Getting outdoors, in the woods and with you too! :)
What's on your agenda this week?
Jaquaia
16-03-20, 11:47 AM
Uni work! 2000 word assignment due in 15 minutes so using my 12 hour grace period! Have asked my tutor for the one due on Thursday for an extension so I can rest a little, explained how I'm coming out of an RA flare and suffering a little with fatigue. Driving lesson Thursday then back to J's on Monday
Well done for talking to your tutors and actually asking to use your extra time etc...
Jaquaia
16-03-20, 03:04 PM
I've even emailed student support about my exam and asked if they want a copy of my rheumatology letter as proof I'm on immunosuppressants in light of the current situation with covid-19. They can't cancel the exam as it's part of the conditions for accreditation from the BPS and the year 3 module is a research project so an exam wouldn't work there.
Oh and I don't need new glasses!!!! That has never happened to me before!!!
That's all so awesome! Well done lovely!
So what are the options with the exam?
Jaquaia
16-03-20, 06:50 PM
No idea. Possibly postponement. The uni are supposed to be trying to figure it out and will let us know ASAP
We've got issues with the GCSE's too.... We're hoping for a plan sooner rather than later...
Jaquaia
16-03-20, 08:09 PM
Assignment submitted! And an extension for the one due on Thursday until the 26th. Bedtime stories now then some time relaxing.
Jaquaia
18-03-20, 04:52 PM
My exam request didn't go through so have to do it again!
And can't work out if I need to self-isolate...
Honestly? I’m surprised you haven’t already
Jaquaia
18-03-20, 08:05 PM
There's so much conflicting information. Some of it says I'm at the low risk end as I'm not on a biologic, some says I need to so focusing on hygiene practices at the moment and keeping my distance from people
We have the kids over the Easter holidays so the plan is to take them places we can explore and just take picnics
I thought anyone on immune suppressants was meant to be?
Jaquaia
18-03-20, 09:28 PM
A lot of rheumys are saying to just be more vigilant about hygiene and keeping the 2m distance...
I think that's the worst thing is the lack of definitive information...

Awesome driving lesson!!!! Done a really good turn in the road and a really good forward bay park and Bob said it was more like a drive than a lesson as I did that well!
So, how is being in a car with someone keeping the 2m distance?
That's great!
Hunni, I'm concerned that you aren't self isolating? Especially with your Mum's breathing being as bad as it is...
What's happening with the children as I can't see her isolating....
OldMike

Jaquaia
23-03-20, 06:56 PM
I'm ok. Decided to bring moving to J's forward to try and protect my mum a little more .
Oh wow! So you there full time now?
Jaquaia
23-03-20, 09:04 PM
From today. I feel guilty though. I feel like I should be there to look after my mum but I'm an extra risk factor for her.
You're at higher risk too, so you self isolating is the best option for both of you - and for anyone you guys come into contact with....
Happy new home day!
Jaquaia
23-03-20, 09:30 PM
From what I read on the NRAS website, I'm not as high risk as my mum as my disease isn't active and my dosage is enough to manage my condition so isn't as immunosuppressive as the biologics.
My anxiety is sky high though. Going to start propranolol before bed I think.
Sounds sensible....
Just take care love.. We're all on lockdown now so you can only do what you can do...
Jaquaia
24-03-20, 08:51 AM
That bit Paula shared on Arty's post. J has just sent that to Cruella as she's refusing to let him have the children due to "Government guidelines"

We've cleaned the garden up and trimmed some bushes back so fresh air, exercise and the garden looks better! And J has finally got through to the wicked witch and is picking the children up at half 3.

That ain’t gonna happen now unless it’s McDonands drive thru ;)
Jaquaia
24-03-20, 05:05 PM
That's not going to happen now either!
That's awesome about the garden and the children. Shame about the meal - it'll just have to be a huger celebration when all this is over!
Jaquaia
25-03-20, 04:35 PM
So 2nd full day in the village. Done A's daily diary with her and lots of fractions with T. We've taken a walk around the village, everyone keeping their distance, enjoying the sunshine, spotting rainbows and bears in windows and everyone we passed said hello. Now sat at the table in the garden about to start my assignment while the children play
Stella180
25-03-20, 04:42 PM

You'd think that but A has childrens garden tools. She can be quite intimidating...

One of the best things about living here (apart from getting J full time) is reading in the bath. The only problem is, it's been that long since I ran myself a bath and I've overdone the bubbles! (giggle)
Stella180
31-03-20, 10:10 PM
No such thing as too many bubbles and nothing more relaxing than a soak in the bath
I agree! It's the one thing I miss about having a bath!

We went shopping today, J finds it weird that we can do a big shop and not argue, which speaks volumes. He's worried that he's not doing enough for me as I'm doing the washing, washing up, general tidying and I cooked a full dinner for us all on Sunday on my own. Like I pointed out, I choose to do everything I do and I know he appreciates me. He's going out to work and is taking on my bills, doing a bit of housework is the least I can do.
As long as you aren't doing everything and trying to squeeze in your studies too itms?
Jaquaia
01-04-20, 07:29 PM
I'm only doing one wash at a time as we don't have a dryer and the weather hasn't been up to hanging it out so it's going on an airer on the landing. I'm doing maybe an hour/2 hours a day housework and a few hours studying. I've been taking a break when J gets up while he's been on nights
As long as you are resting and pacing too lovely....
Jaquaia
01-04-20, 09:41 PM
I don't have a choice anymore. J gets a bit bossy when it comes to my wellbeing
About f*ing time someone took you in hand ;) ;) ;)

How are you today lovely? When have you guys got the children? Are you loving having them around?
Jaquaia
02-04-20, 12:09 PM
I'm ok, tired but ok. Back at the books while J gets some sleep after his night shift. We get the children back this afternoon until Saturday evening. They can be hard work but which children can't be at times? A told J that I was the best stepmum in the whole world the other day!

Got my letter through from the hospital! I only have to socially distance as they're not including hydroxychloroquine among the immunosuppressants. That makes life a bit easier!
Stella180
02-04-20, 03:58 PM
That’s good news. I’m still awaiting news. I got a text telling me they will be it touch and contact supermarkets if ness.

Are they not counting the methotrexate?
Jaquaia

They are but that gives me a score of 1 on the table they sent, and that only needs social distancing.
Good news! I had the same text as Stella....

Ffs! Mentioned needing to do my mums meds to my brother and sister and they both said that I shouldn't be going in the house, I'd get fined for crossing the household and I should just supervise my dad over a video call. Yeah... supervise someone dealing with almost identical medication over a not very clear video call which also lags because their internet isn't stable! Supervise someone also dealing with over 200 tablets a week for the first time, who struggles standing for long periods because of back pain and also has issues with his finger suddenly locking. But yeah, it's me being the unreasonable one.
in a sense, they’re right. So, working the problem, could you somehow do them without entering the house? In the car, maybe? I know it sounds ridiculous, and difficult, but I know you’d be devastated if you thought you’d put them at risk. And it’s going to be this way for a while to come ......
Jaquaia
04-04-20, 05:32 PM
They do have a point but essential care is allowed and I think my mums meds class as essential care. My sister was even against me doing the meds in the car, implied it was me not having faith in my dad, but 5 of my mums meds are almost identical, apart from subtle colour differences, including the controlled drug. If I make a mistake and drop it in the wrong box it's fine as I've been doing this for 4 or 5 years now and have learnt the difference and can recognise the drug markings to make doubly sure. What if my dad makes that mistake? He can't read small print even with his glasses on and his vision isn't great as he has a cataract in one eye, neither can my mum and she gets confused because of how many she takes. I suggested me doing them in the car or in the back garden (so I don't look like a drug dealer) and it just got put down as me being against video calls. The thing is, neither of them have a clue what meds my mum takes. They have no idea how many she takes a week or what tablets can be taken together or timings of doses as none of them have ever bothered to even offer to help me. I taught my dad how to put her TENS machine on for her and he didn't even manage that!
I've minimised the risk by buying extra dosette boxes so can do 3 weeks at a time, I did this purposely to reduce contact. I make a point of keeping my distance from my parents, I didn't go anywhere near them when I last did her meds. I used sanitiser the moment I walked in the house, washed my hands before I even touched the dosette boxes or her meds as I needed to touch the door handle and didn't touch anything apart from where the meds are stored. I suggested collecting the meds from just inside the front door, sanitising my hands and the boxes before I touched them and putting them back just inside the door but got a guilt trip about risk. What more can I do?
Is there no way that your pharmacist could make them up for her?
Jaquaia
04-04-20, 06:06 PM
I've checked. They don't have the capacity at the moment. It took a while to get something arranged to actually have her meds delivered to her.
Have you got gloves?
As carers we go to houses and we wash our hands then put gloves on before touching even the meds bottles or nomads. the nomads are what the pharmacy put the doses in when they make the meds up for clients. You can also get masks. so mask on in the doorway, wash hands gloves on do meds then out the door.
Jaquaia
04-04-20, 07:17 PM
No but I can see if J has any left in the workshop. If I do them in the garden or in the car it will save my mum getting hassle over me being in the house
Stella180
04-04-20, 07:42 PM
This comes down to a common sense issue. Which is more important, you not setting foot in the house or my mums meds getting sorted. Covering the correct procedure will be sufficient for you to get the job done.
As long as you wear gloves and a mask and sanitise and wash hands then there's nothing anyone can argue with!
Jaquaia
04-04-20, 08:49 PM
You haven't met my sister...
Is she a health worker ? as if she is then she should know the procedures, if I was closer and could go out I would drop you some masks and gloves off sweetie. As carers we have to go into clients houses we have no choice. It wash hands gloves and masks on then when gloves come off wash hands again so a good moisturiser is handy aswell with all the extra hand washing x
If your sister is being really difficult about you doing it, could she??? :)
Jaquaia
05-04-20, 11:36 AM
But the risk! You can be fined for crossing households etc etc! They're not even seeing her partners daughter, even though children of separated parents can go house to house.
Ang, she used to work in a care home so should be aware that essential care is allowed. Other then gloves and mask, I followed all the precautions last time. I even wiped the unit I touched with bleach afterwards.
She should no the procedure then unless hasnt read properly, you are allowed to go and do essential things for those that are vulnerable etc, go and go in sort the meds out keep a distance from everyone such as 6 foot/2 metres, wash hands when you get there and on leaving, if have a hand sanitiser use that on leaving after touching the door. Tell her u have taken advice just to shut her up if needs be.
To be fair, if she hasn’t worked in a care home for a while, I’d imagine regs are very different right now.
However, get gloves and a mask, lovely, and do everything else you’re doing - you know you’re being safe. And then ignore her - unless she wants to come and do it, she’s not got a leg to stand on. What’s the worse she can do? Shout at you? Put the phone down.....
Totally agree with Paula on the ignore her bit, basics of care such as hygeine havent really changed to be honest, as carers we use gloves every call, and wash hands every call.

I am going to.
Got LOADS done today! Done some studying, changed the bedding on the childrens beds, changed A's bedroom around and hoovered, she now has miles more space!!! Got both sets of bedding washed, dried and put away. Got a normal load of washing done and on the line and have a load in ready to go out first thing.
Before I get shouted at, I've rested a lot too! Had a long chat with Angie on the phone and she can vouch for me!!!
Yup can vouch for the long rest x
Glad you had a long rest! I hope you didn't do it all on your own?
Jaquaia
05-04-20, 06:06 PM
Erm... J is at work...
Do they all know you've changed A's room around? Why did you do it on your own?
Jaquaia
05-04-20, 06:10 PM
J does now as I sent him a picture. And because I was restless and bored. I promise tomorrow I will pace more! I told her a while ago we were goingnto change her room around, it's given her so much more space.

05-04-20, 07:24 PM
There’s no such think as short convo with Angie lol. I hope she feels special that you actually spoke on the phone. More than I ever get.
Jaquaia
05-04-20, 07:27 PM
I didn't recognise the number (giggle)
Stella180
05-04-20, 07:33 PM
Oh so you deliberately ignore my calls. Cheers mate, love you too lol
Jaquaia
05-04-20, 07:41 PM
Nah! I have a habit of putting my phone on silent when notifications start annoying me!
Stella180
05-04-20, 07:53 PM
No it’s fine! I understand! :P
Jaquaia
06-04-20, 03:55 PM
I've finished the washing, got the last bits on the line to dry, put the childrens washing away, give the living room a quick hooverand cut all the dead leaves off the palm trees in the front garden... that's pacing right?
Stella180
06-04-20, 04:07 PM
Wanna come round here are sort my (swear)(swear)(swear)(swear) hole out?
Jaquaia
06-04-20, 04:19 PM
I don't do anything involving soil!
Stella180
06-04-20, 04:22 PM
No soil inside my house unless Super Sausage brings it in with her from the garden.
Why are you doing so much? What about reading and studying? Resting? Have you been drinking?
Jaquaia
06-04-20, 05:12 PM
I have been resting too, have read a couple of chapters of my fun book, have done some uni work and even had a 20 minute chat on the phone with my future f-i-l and a chat with my parents. The thing is, even on the phone I'm finding myself pacing rather than just sitting.
Can you make yourself rest? I also notice you skipped the question about drinking....
Jaquaia
06-04-20, 05:24 PM
It's not something I've thought about but I will go and get another drink now. I went into the kitchen to get one and ended up washing the pots instead. I am sat down now and working.
Oh and got my last assignment marks back from my counselling module... 75! So I've definitely passed that one!
Stella180
06-04-20, 05:53 PM
Woohoo! Well done!
Well done lovely!
So how much have you had to drink today?
Lovely, I think it’s wonderful that you’ve got such enthusiasm for your new home and family. But ...... if you carry on running at 100mph doing everything, you are going to crash and you will end up being unable to enjoy being with J and the kids because you’re feeling too ill.
Jaquaia
06-04-20, 09:18 PM
I've been told off by J too... in fact, I think the real reason he's asked me to read in the workshop with him is so he can keep an eye on me. So I'm laid on the floor with my fun book, being a good girl and resting. I've just been really restless over the last few days
Stella180
06-04-20, 09:47 PM
If not gonna tell you off for being productive. If you’ve got the energy put it to good use. Of course if gets too much then step back. J will make sure you do anyway. I trust you will do what’s right for you.
I get that you just want everything to be perfect but hunni, perfect also means you are as well as you possibly can be....
Jaquaia
07-04-20, 11:07 AM
I know. I just sometimes get restless and need to be doing things. It's very different to how I felt at my parents.
Today should be easier. I have the towels in the washer, sat doing my mums work capability questionnaire, then I'm going to take my textbook into the garden to read as it's lovely here.
Make sure you're drinking too....
Jaquaia
07-04-20, 12:04 PM
I will.
I think the washing machine has got in on the act of getting me to rest too. It's currently beeping and flashing an error code at me...
How much have you had to drink?
Jaquaia
07-04-20, 04:35 PM
3 large glasses
And it's nearly 445pm.... How long have you been up? How big are your glasses?
Jaquaia
07-04-20, 04:50 PM
I got up around half 9. I'd guess somewhere between half a pint and a pint
Stella180
07-04-20, 06:20 PM
I hope you’ve poured yourself another glass now
Jaquaia
07-04-20, 06:27 PM
Nearly finished it too!
Trying very hard not to nag too .....
Jaquaia
07-04-20, 07:16 PM
Getting another one as I type this! (angel)
Stella180
07-04-20, 07:18 PM
Well have you house trained before you know it lol
Jaquaia
07-04-20, 09:05 PM
I wouldn't go that far!
So at that point, it was roughly 8 hours you'd been up and if we are being generous and saying a pint (which I don't imagine they would be) then you'd had roughly 1/2 pint an hour? How much more have you had now..
Jaquaia
08-04-20, 06:12 AM
I think I had 3 glasses from J getting home to us going to bed
Did you not have a smart water bottle that measures how much you’re drinking?
Jaquaia
08-04-20, 09:24 AM
No, I struggled to find one that didn't cost more than I could pay at the time, then completely forgot once my bills were adjusted as I'd started using a glass
Stella180
08-04-20, 10:23 AM
I’m happy to treat you to a new water bottle is it helps you stay hydrated.
Jaquaia
08-04-20, 10:29 AM
I'll do a lot better over the next week as J is off and he nags me about my drinking as much as you lot do (giggle)
It's just getting into a better habit
How much have you had today love?
Jaquaia
08-04-20, 11:55 AM
About a glass so far. Been on the phone with my mum trying to get her claim form finished.
Got my grade back for my science-y module... 85!!! So looking like a distinction as I got 90 and 99 for my other 2 assignments :)
Oh and bought a dress. It's absolutely gorgeous, was nearly a tenner off so I thought I'd treat myself. I bought a size smaller but could have gone 2 sizes smaller as I have loads of room!!! Must also remember to NEVER bend over when I wear it!!!
Wow! Well done on the marks and the weight loss!
Jaquaia
08-04-20, 01:48 PM
I wouldn't go that far but I absolutely loved that module and it's made me want to take the MSc in Mental Health Science route once I've graduated

Blimey, you really are planning long term. Doesn’t seem that long ago couldn’t plan past waking up each morning.

The village pond. It's literally a minutes walk away :)

That's a beautiful pond! I'm so glad you're so happy and settled so fast!

We can see fields from the front bedrooms and the village church from the back bedroom. I'm currently sat in the back garden listening to bird song, the occasional cockerel, and yesterday I could hear the horses at the start of the village. At the other end of the village there's a dairy farm that has a fresh milk vending machine and in the summer they make their own ice cream. J jokes that my parents took the wrong baby home from the hospital as I'm so unlike my family but I love it out here. I feel so at home and like I've finally found where I belong.
I was only saying to Stella yesterday that I’m the complete opposite - a total townie who couldn’t sleep at my parents old house in a village cos it was too dark and quiet ;)

I lived in a city all my life. When I married A I moved to a seaside village and it took me a while to adjust.... like a few years!!!
However we now live surrounded by fields and I couldn't imagine ever living back in a town or city again. I love the peace and quiet. Today as I walked up our lane all I could hear was birdsong of the small tits and finches busy building nests in the hedges. It is beautiful.
I used to live right on the edge of the New Forest and 30 mins away from the beach. I miss it now, but when I was younger I couldn't wait to get out! However I used to love living in the centre of London too!

Looks like lots of fun has been had x
I bet she adored the 1:1 positive attention!
Jaquaia
09-04-20, 09:36 PM
I think she did! We planted some trailing geraniums too. Tomorrow we're going to make a chocolate cake.
Aww I bet she's adoring the time with you!
Jaquaia
09-04-20, 11:03 PM
I had to drag her out of bed to plant the geraniums! It seems she loves her bedroom!!!

Yesterday I baked with the children. Well, I measured the ingredients and did the oven bit but A did the rest of the cake and T made the frosting.
