I've extended the closing date from Sunday to the following Wednesday so quiz 2 closes Wednesday 25th July 2018 at 23:59, first post edited to reflect that.

You have just over 5 days to to enter the quiz, pm (private message) me (OldMike) with your answers, be in it to win it and remember it is just for fun.

PS Don't let the Princess and the Boss Lady have it all their own way ;)

Paula
20-07-18, 09:12 AM
Or do, whichever suits best (giggle)

OldMike
22-07-18, 10:45 AM
I've further extended the closing date for the quiz to Sunday 29th July 2018 at 23:59 and amended first post to that effect.

Reason there is potentially another entrant waiting in the wings (who is currently busy) so I'm giving them another week to enter :)

Watch this space for but-tock clenching announcements (giggle)

OldMike

Quizzers where for ar't thou, have thou forsaken me, have thou lost that frisson of excitement engendered by the scintilla of a long lost fact materializing in to a thought of outstanding lucidity crystallizing in to a monumentally correct response to the proffered question.

Or in other words entering the quiz is just fun, fun, fun...

OldMike
28-07-18, 08:35 AM

Thanks to all the participants.

The winner of Quiz 2 with an outstanding score of 27 points is *drum roll*

(party) Paula (party)

A special mention goes to Suzi with the witty and possibly correct answer to the following:

question (30): Irving Berlin was famous for writing what?

Answer: Postcards, I awarded 1/2 point for sheer brilliance (and he probably did write postcards) (giggle)

Answer I was looking for was "songs" though accepted "musicals" as he wrote songs for musicals and was involved with musicals.

The mini car question (24) I would have said 1960's it first appeared on British roads in 1959 so the answer was 1950's.

Paula
30-07-18, 10:58 AM
