Fear of losing a loved one is causing depression and anxiety. I have several close calls in the past and now a new threat. How do I overcome this please help
Hi Gerty and welcome. I’m sorry you’re struggling. Have you seen your doctor? Are you on medication, having any talking therapy etc? What support do you have? Sorry for all the questions ...

I've seen doctor and was on medication but took me off as was doing more harm than good. Hopefully start therapy soon but not sure it will help as had lots of things happen in the past and now. I do have a wonderful husband who is doing his best but I feel it should be the other way round as he is undergoing tests on his heart so I'm really struggling at the moment
Hi and welcome to DWD. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time at the moment. Have you told your husband that you are struggling?

Yes he is supportive and understanding
That's brilliant. It's always good when you have someone you can talk things over with. Have you ever talked to him or a medical professional about how you are feeling or your worries?

Hopefully seeing someone in just over a week
But have you spoken to your husband about your fears?

Hi Gerty, as Suzi says have you spoken to your husband about how you feel because I think it'll help rather than bottling it up which in itself creates anxiety and stress.
Hopefully seeing someone in just over a week
What sort of someone is that? Counselllor, psychologist etc?

My husband knows all about my fears and yes it will be a councillor
I know I should feel lucky as when my children where younger son had leukemia and daughters had epilepsy but adults now with children of their own and husband survived heart attack 14 years ago but now with them testing him as they have found something else with his heart is scaring me to death
Wow, you've been through so much. It's fine to be scared love...
