I took up on painting again after countless of years. It didn't go too well, but then again I have done alot worse job before. Maybe one day I actually learn how to properly use watercolours. Untill then, it is practice, practice and more practice.

Brilliant Sissy, with painting you don't need to a achieve a pin sharp image like a photograph, you need to show a feeling for the subject and create an image which affects the emotions which you have done.

Thanks, I still do the rööki mistake alot, using too much colour and not enough water. But one day..

Rookie! Dumb autocorrect. Rööki is a slang term for tobacco In my language

It’s lovely, especially the tail - it really shows the movement and texture :)

That's really lovely Sissy!!...have you tried painting with Acrylics? It's far more forgiving that watercolours.....well it has to be for me, because I make so many mistakes!

Sissy

I have acrylics but I have used them mainly tuning up my little ponies and barbie dolls. Well I have made animals of Stones with those. But watercolours are something I really wish to learn. I mainly just draw, pencils, charcoal and Dry pastels have been my things.

Wow, this is beautiful! I'm absolutely dreadful at drawing, my drawing style hasn't changed since I was six, haha, but I do find it rather enjoyable to do mandalas and stuff. But this is really lovely, beautiful colours and love the fluffy tail, you've done a great job at having those bits of hair sticking out along the tail.

Thank you. I have been super busy building a house for my chickens with Le boyfriend (who thank goodness tolerates my ramblings about scary tools while learning to use circular saw and nail gun) that I haven't been reading or writing at all. Not even mentioning drawing or painting. But when the chicken house (Le dude calls it bird palace) is ready, I'm gonna show pics and ask opinions about painting it inside and out!

Suzi

That sounds like fun!

OldMike

Be very careful with circular saws, I love the idea of a bird palace :)

Sissy
05-06-18, 09:19 PM
I am, I promise! It has alot of safetymechanisms, which is good. I find the nail gun alot scarier. I need my both hands to push the handles of that circular saw, so at least my fingers are far from the blade. But I am far happier when my title returns back to "soft haired beer retriever" instead of anything constructing related!

Suzi

Sounds fun though!

Ohhh not me, it is the pants of the house that is the construction whiz. I simply do what he advices me to do, but I do agree it does looks sturdy and nice. I love this guy and his endless patience and compassion he pours over me and my kids. I really found a gem. Plus my kids love him too. Wonder if he realises how much this all means to me

Suzi

Maybe you should tell him! :) He sounds awesome x

Sissy
06-06-18, 09:53 PM
I do tell him. Over and over. And today we started putting on the floor. I love how things get forward lil by lil, slow but still. We can do this... I show more pictures later

Suzi

Look forward to seeing them - for the record though, I think he's pretty lucky to have found someone as lovely as you are too!

Paula

Sissy

I am missing my flock so bad. This I made for Dracula's memory. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q56/Sabertooth79/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20180807_133436_zpsrt4ug1x0.jpg

Wow that's amazing :) I've always wished I was good at art but that sort of talent seems to have just skipped me entirely in my family!

I feel that way about singing. I sound like a hyperventilating donkey if I try to sing. Drawing and painting are my ways of surviving hard times. And if I am too down to draw, I play videogames. Like any responsible adult would, right...? (rofl)

Suzi

What games console and what games ;)

CaterpillarGirl
08-08-18, 10:35 AM
Singing is also something I wish I was good at! Playing computer games is perfectly acceptable as an adult, I'm partial to sims 4 on the laptop when I don't feel like concentrating too hard on anything

Sissy
08-08-18, 11:36 AM
Sims! I play those too, but my favourite still is the old Sims busting out for PS2!

Sissy
08-08-18, 11:44 AM
And my messages ran away in the middle, sorry! I wanted to say I love final fantasy series, but 7-10 mostly. And kingdom hearts. I played mmorpg games when I still had a working computer, but now it is the old 8-bit classic shoebox nintendo, and PS2. We have PS3 aswell, but I don't like the games we have for it. Xbox 360, same thing. My mmorpg's were Fiesta, Requiem, Forsaken World and Rune Scape with my son ages ago. Sometimes I miss that game.

OldMike

I like the Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts and Zelda, mmorpg's I've played Rappelz, Flyff, anf Perfect World but that was a few years ago.

I'm a lover of Abe's Oddysee and Skyrim myself ;)

I drew a picture for a shirt. Text translates to something like "aunty rider". Now we see if this shirt will actually sell.

And about the picture. I made it full of attitude, because every aunty rider sometimes has a naughty pony. At least I do!
