It takes a lot of courage to be an Olympian. It takes 100 x more to openly speak out about depression and anxiety. The more those in the public eye feel able to do this without fear of scorn, the more us ‘normal’ people feel we can. Thank you, Michael Phelps, you’ve done something truly courageous and made things that little bit easier for a lot of people around the world.
