Things have been going really well for me the last few months, the supplements and the quetiapine the pdoc suggested has really helped, I have been sleeping better and had a lot more energy, but tonight everything is getting to me. One of my friends is really ill, she has terminal cancer and although she is battling on we all know that she wont see the end of the year. We had a staff meeting on Sunday and I let someone else chair the meeting. J is normally a sensitive soul but she asked all of us what our plans were for the coming year. Not the most sensitive question of someone who does not expect to live to the end of it!
I should not have let J chair the meeting and it left me feeling out of control and that I am a lesser person for letting her.
Today she is not well, her depression is making her feel isolated ad struggling and I feel the weight of her issues as well. I hope that she will be up to taking the classes she teaches on Friday or I will have to step in and cover.
I have new classes starting in the next 7 days, some of them are full but a few are still short of people. I want to be able to offer H a decent salary and I also want to be able to employ J as I know she is struggling for work.
I have an order to supply my highland cows to a gift shop in the far north of the Scottish mainland. It is great news but it will mean I will have to make about 100 cows over the coming months. In the two years I have been making them I have made 45! so the pressure is on. made 6 tonight. These ones are smaller and will sell for about £10 each to the shop.
I worry about juggling everything. In the last few nights I have been drinking. I never drink, I have a bottle of sapphire gin that is half full that I bought in 2016. The last few nights I have been drinking 2 to 3 glasses of port and lemon and tonight I have been hitting the chocolate baileys. I want to find oblivion, just never wake up.
As well as the company stuff I am also trying to handle hubby's brothers affairs after his death as his executor. Also hubby came round this morning wanting me to sort his car tax online as well. Tomorrow I am seeing Dad as well and I will have to try and find out why the cleaner I had booked failed to turn up at his place for a discussion of his needs.
I need to get the rest of my artwork onto the etsy sales site, I need to get an advert off to a magazine (I may have missed the deadline!) I need to make appointments to get my eyes and hearing checked, the cats to the vets for worming and weighing, all the pets deflead and do some washing ( I am running out of underwear!!)

Hiya lovely, nice to see you - wish it was for brighter reasons though!
I don't for one second think you are a lesser person for letting someone else chair that meeting. I'm sorry about your friend, but so much in that post is so positive!

Wow so busy as always, being an executor isn't easy so couldn't you hand it over to a solicitor to handle which may cost a bit but would be payed for from your hubby's brother's estate.

Wow a hundred cows that's a whole field full :)

There is not much to do for M. Still feeling overwhelmed not helped by Ember being poorly.

ember has D and V... It came on after my classes started back so I think it was a treat that someone gave her that upset her. I had to hose down the yard this morning (not nice) I have given her some stuff the vet gave me last time this occurred and this afternoon she is again looking for food so hopefully the worst is past. The boys went for weighing and worming this morning. They are getting a bit overweight and we have discovered we have been feeding them the wrong food. Even though they are only 9months old they should have been on adult food. Barney is just over 5Kg and Percy nearly 6Kg. You really know when they jump on you now!
My friend J has offered to take some of the throwing classes although she cant do the two this week as she has arranged to have a friend down.
Cow production is proceeding. I should have 16 of the 20 finished for drying by tonight and maybe even a couple more done by the morning. The first order is for 20 small cows and 7 larger ones. I posted a photo of the first 13 onto a facebook page called Pottery Heads which is an international site and I already have nearly 400 likes after about two hours.
Anyway better go back to work

Well done on getting so many cows made. You are always so busy with your studio and with the animals. I don't know how you find time to do everything.

The comments and likes on the FB site is mental!! There are over 700 likes and a few people have asked where they can buy them... It is getting embarrassing!

I cant recall the last time I saw a GP. I saw a pdoc back in November and the MH nurse before then. I have an appointment with her again in a few weeks (the earliest I could get)

Mainly by not doing anything much apart from work (rofl). Sometimes my customers say "did you see .... on TV" The answer is almost always no... I dont have much time to watch TV!! Thank god for catch up and being able to record programmes or I would never see any TV! I only caught up on something I recorded Christmas Eve last night, its weird watching Christmas adverts at this time of your, I know I could skip past but I keep forgetting or if I do I go too far so I just let the roll by.

You are unbelievably talented so I’m not surprised you’ve got such a wonderful response. Which do you enjoy more - the classes or your own sculpting?

Is it worth booking a meds review with your GP?

I think doing my own work comes out a little on top, but I do enjoy the classes as well, although at the moment most of the people who come know what they are doing and I sometimes feel a bit superfluous.
My practice would not let me book a meds review with a GP it would have to be with the practice nurse and there is no point in that. The meeting with the MH nurse will be a sort of review, she actually has as much power as the GP's and can prescribe and refer as needed.

Is there no way that you can try to get an earlier appointment with her as you aren't doing as well atm?

No, I will go with that. Shaking at the moment though. Last summer I was approached by another Scottish gift shop about my cows. I sent them a sample but heard nothing back. They have just emailed asking if they can buy 20 to start the season off. This shop is in a castle so gets more traffic than the other. It does mean I have to make about 50 in the next two weeks!

When are you seeing the nurse?
