I came across this while doing an online course on CBT. There's lists on books available, and recommended, in libraries throughout England. You can get a prescription to borrow these books from your dr but can also self refer ;). Anyway, it gives lists of self help books that the medical professionals in the country recommend on mental health, dementia etc

You know, that's a brilliant idea. I used to read at least two books a week and love John Grisham but I can't focus that we'll and my mind wanders after about half an hour. Getting a book 9n prescription could help me better than going to the library and hiring out a book and not reading it. Might make me try harder.

I went to the library last week, joined as saw some of these books and came away with the one about depression and low mood. Only done a few tasks so far but I can honestly say they have helped me so far. It was good to get out and spend some real quiet time looking at the books too.
